Our hearts go out to all the people in Japan who have suffered during the unfortunate events on 3-11-11. I’m kinda speechless about the whole thing. I’m not sure what to write, so I will leave it at this. Live your lives because moments like this show us how small we really are!
The crew of iPr

Okay, welcome to the return of Captain Phil. I’ve been extremely busy with Stealth on the site. Plus, Stealth recently just tide the knot to Christina Reese as of February 19, 2011. My boys all grows up, and yes I said that correctly.

We are in the process of finishing the changes we decided to make to iPr and I must say, “it’s worth the wait!” Trying to make the worlds greatest music site isn’t easy, but the hardest thing is making sure the fans get the best out of the bands and iPr features.

The site will go up before the radio station and channels, but that is closer than ever before. The show is planned and has been tested. Stealth has created a relaxing studio environment for the both of us to blow your brains out with the best music of tomorrow today.

We’ve been working on this project for eight long years, and it took a while to get the money and backing to make our vision become realty. If we couldn’t do it right, we didn’t want to do it at all. Like my dad says, “anything worth doing, is worth doing right.”

As far as The Captain here, Im looking most forward to the journey. Life has been a crazy and most unusual ride for me, and I’m looking forward to seeing the twist and turns of iPr. I hope you all are as excited as we are and we will see you soon.

A special note! My family has lost a wonderful man. My  girlfriend lost her father and I lost an amazing friend. It is one of the reasons I’ve been gone so long. His name was Steven Haymon! He was what everyone in the world should aspire to be and will be missed by all of us. His love was chocolate, so I ask all of you who read this, the next time you eat a Hershey Bar to think, hey it’s great to be alive! Then call a friend and for Steve, don’t worry about yourself, be concerned with the other person.

As I was working on the photo gallery for iPr today, a lot of history came rolling back in the memory warehouse. All those moments in time that we take for granted, then we look at those pictures of that moment and say, “Wow I remember that!”

Stealth and I have been on many journeys together and today was the proof. All those festivals, concerts, and good times in between. It has been a hell of ride! We’ve seen rock legends, new comers before they were big, and locals that deserved more, but I can’t wait to see what comes next!

As I looked at the pictures I remember people, places, and concerts that ripped me a new one, but the one thing that stuck out were the faces in all the pictures of the people that are still here in our lives today. Those people know who they are and they have supported us through every hill we had to climb, and even though seeing pictures of some of the best concerts of my life, I realized that the people in our lives are so much more important then I thought. Some are here today and never seen again tomorrow.

So the next time your at a concert, take a gander at the person/persons you came with and take a mental picture. They might not be there next time and it might of been the concert you forget. Even though it rocked!

Well, till next time! This Captain Phil saying, “Be the memory!”

It’s been a while. My modem crashed and had I to wait for them to send me the replacement. I had a bunch of work to catch up on, but I’m back on track. So here I am to bring you the latest news on iPr and thoughts of Captain Phil.

Let us begin……..

Internet Pirate Radio(iPr) is moving along nicely. We are trying to get everybody started on something before the new year. The work load is ridiculous  and Stealth’s head is ready to explode, but it’s going to be worth it in the end.

I’m looking forward to seeing all you bands and rock and rollers out there, when you see what we have in store for you. The look of the website alone  screams Rock and Roll, and that’s exactly what it is!

We want iPr to be a journey, not just a website on the net for music. The hope is to create a place where all music lovers are welcome and all musicians are legends created by the fans themselves. If fans have a say in music, then iPr will be the place for them to have it. The bands will be able to promote their music, merch, play live on our radio show, and gain a following of fans easier then ever before. As for the fans, the driving force behind it all, we believe that all of us together can get those bands we love the credit they deserve. Let us together bring a revolution to the music world and raise it so high we have to look down to see heaven.

Music is the reason this idea was created so long ago by Stealth and myself, and still eight years after the creation of an idea, we finally are making that idea a reality. It is our dream and now that it’s here, it’s time to make those struggling band’s dreams come true. That’s exactly what we’re going to do. With your help and everybody else’s, we will bring Rock and Roll back from the dead and turn it back into the magic that drives the music industry!

Do you remember your very first concert? Not the ones when your five and were at a park that played music, but a real concert! I do. I was a little old for my first concert but still young! The age 15, the concert Steve Perry from Journey, and the place was Sunrise Musical Theater.

When I was younger my mom was a huge Journey fan. She would sing “Lights” to me in the car and dance around the house to “Anyway You Want It”. My mom loves to dance. She still does those same things today.

Anyway, she asked me if I wanted to go see Steve Perry and said if I want I could bring a friend. I wasn’t a concert goer, as much as I liked to hang with my friends and be stupid. I’d never been to one, so I said sure, and I invited my best friend Rob. You might know him now as Droz from “Droz Moniker Empire” and iPr art work.

We got to the concert and I have to say I was excited! As soon as I walked in, I was ready for music. Now 17 years later I go to more concerts than I ever thought I would. They are my favorite event to do and it all started with Steve Perry. God that’s lame! Even though I think that man has got some serious vocal capability.

Rob and I banged our heads through “Separate Ways” and my mom laughed at us. We were’t really doing it because of the music, it was more to be goof balls. Well, because that’s what we were. I’d like to say I’m not anymore but I am!

We never really know when were in a moment that will define us or give a hint of the person we will become. I think at that moment I became who I was meant to be. Not the type of man I was going to be, but the passion I would have for music and how in the future it would effect and change me!

We all like to believe we are in control of events that take place in our lives, but the truth is, events are things that have control of us. We experience them and we never know how they’re going to effect the rest of our lives. Even though we usually plan them, they always seem to workout differently.

That’s the great thing about life! A bunch of random moments that actually are the catalyst for our future selves. Will we meet the person of our dreams at a party or become a rock star by simply buying our first CD?

We don’t really know, but we will still go on planning moments thinking we are always in control, but the truth is simple. Life is control of us. Every moment we share, plan, or simply just live can change us for the rest of of days. It can mold a new reality and shape the very people we will become, and that is living!
